The process

What working together looks like

The Full Admissions Program, step by step. Other programs use the same principles with a narrower scope.

  1. Week 1

    Free consultation & fit

We meet your family, review the student’s record, and give you a candid assessment. If we both feel it’s a fit, we match your student with their mentor.

  2. Weeks 2–4

    Deep dive & strategy

A full audit of academics, activities, and interests becomes a written game plan: positioning, a balanced school list (reach, target, likely), and a month-by-month timeline.

  3. Ongoing

    Build the record

For juniors and younger: course selection, extracurricular depth, summer plans, and testing strategy — the substance essays are made of.

  4. Summer–Fall

    Essays & applications

Weekly working sessions. Your student drafts; their mentor coaches structure, story, and voice until every essay is genuinely theirs — and genuinely excellent.

  5. Fall–Winter

    Interviews & submission

Mock interviews with written feedback, final application review, and submission checklists — nothing goes out with a loose end.

  6. Winter–Spring

    Decisions & next steps

Guidance through deferrals and waitlists, comparing offers and aid packages, and choosing well — the goal is the right school, not just a famous one.

Questions parents ask

Frequently asked questions

When should we start?

The most leverage comes in 10th and 11th grade, when there’s still time to shape the record — courses, activities, and summers. Seniors are far from out of options: the Essay Intensive focuses on the application work still in their control. The free consultation will tell you plainly what’s achievable from where you are now.

Do you write the essays?

No — and you should be wary of anyone who will. Admissions readers are very good at spotting manufactured essays, and schools can rescind offers over them. We coach: story selection, structure, drafting, and revision, until the essay is your student’s best genuine work.

Do you guarantee admission?

No one can guarantee admission to a selective school — anyone who does is telling you what you want to hear. What we can promise: a rigorous process, a balanced list where every school is one your student would be happy to attend, and applications that present them at their genuine best.

What does it cost?

It depends on the program and how early we start; we’ll give you exact figures in the free consultation, before any commitment. Strategy Sessions are the lowest-cost way to work with us, and we’ll always recommend the smallest engagement that meets your student’s needs.

Do you work with international students?

Yes. All sessions run over video, and we’ve guided international applicants through the additional layers — testing requirements, financial aid implications, and how U.S. admissions actually reads an international file.

How many families do you take?

Capacity depends on mentor availability and where we are in the application cycle. We take only the number of families we can support with genuine one-on-one attention, and we’ll tell you plainly if the current cycle is full.
